Want to write graphic novels?

Saturday 16 June 2018

16.30 – 17.30

Want to write graphic novels? Get started with Antony Johnston, author of graphic novels, computer games, comics and spy thrillers.

Antony Johnston has written over 50 comics and graphic novels. For Marvel, he wrote Daredevil: Season One and Wolverine: Prodigal Son. He has adapted Anthony Horowitz’s Alex Rider series as graphic novels. For older audiences, his video game scripts include the Bafta-winning Shadow of Mordor and Zombiu and the spy thriller, The Exphoria Code. His graphic novel, The Coldest City, became a Hollywood film starring Charlize Theron.

In this interactive session, he will use his Alex Rider graphic novels to talk about prose-to-script and character development, encouraging the audience to suggest and develop their own characters, scripts and stories.

“Johnston is a talent to look out for” – Anthony Horowitz
