The Greenwich Book Festival wants to feature the work of the many authors and illustrators who live, work or study in our borough. To do that, this year we are launching an event called The Platform on Saturday 15 June. We invite self-published authors and writing groups from Greenwich to apply so they can showcase their work at our festival.
Almost like a Speakers Corner at the Greenwich Book Festival, authors and writers will be given a short block of time to read their work to a public audience. If you’re a self-published author with books to sell, we’ll give you space after your reading to sell your books. We think this will be a wonderful way to highlight the many talented writers and illustrators who call Greenwich home.
Interested? Please send an e-mail to Maureen Stapleton on the festival team at firstname.lastname@example.org and she’ll get back in touch with you with details on how to apply. All expressions of interest must be made by May 24 2019.
The Small Print:
Participants must live, work or study in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Participants must submit a short summary of the work they plan to present, and, if possible, links to their work. Participants are subject to approval by the Greenwich Book Festival team.
