About The Event
First Story and George Green’s School Present ‘When Time Runs’ Anthology
First Story are delighted to be launching the eighth anthology by George Green’s School, this year entitled ‘When Time Runs’ at the University of Greenwich as part of the Greenwich Book Festival. Join them in celebrating this years’ Young Writers as they read from their published book, the culmination of ten weeks of writing workshops with their Writer-in-Residence, Hannah Silva.
First Story changes lives through writing. They believe that writing can transform lives, and that there is dignity and power in every young person’s story. First Story brings talented, professional writers into secondary schools serving low-income communities to work with teachers and students to foster creativity and communication skills. By helping students find their voices through intensive, fun programmes, First Story raises aspirations and gives students the skills and confidence to achieve them.
Tickets are free of charge but all attendees should register and have their ticket ready to show on the door. This event will be held in QA063 (The Council Room), Queen Anne Court, University of Greenwich, Old Royal Naval College, London, SE10 9LS.
