CREATIVE CHILDREN’S WORKSHOP – I Am the Seed That Grew the Tree: Nature Illustration Workshop
Join illustrator Frann Preston-Gannon as she shares poems and illustrations from “I Am the Seed That Grew the Tree,” the award- winning book of nature poems for every day of the year. She will help the children illustrate the poems themselves, while talking about her work on the book.
“I Am the Seed That Grew the Tree – A Nature Poem for Every Day of the Year” features illustrations by Frann Preston-Gannon and 365 poems by Carol Ann Duffy, Ted Hughes, Emily Bronte, William Blake and others.
Frann Preston-Gannon is an award-winning author and illustrator. Her books have been published around the world and include The Journey Home, Dave’s Cave and In The Swamp By The Light Of The Moon. She was the UKs first recipient of The Sendak Fellowship 2011 and her book I Am The Seed That Grew The Tree was named Waterstones Gift of the year 2018.
This event will be held in the Clore Learning Space on the first floor of the Visitors Centre at the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, London. The session will be followed by a book signing. All children taking part in the workshop must have a valid ticket. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult but the accompanying adult does NOT need a ticket.
